Dakota Salmon Fly Pack

In North Dakota we have a unique opportunity to chase Chinook Salmon on the fly and every fall the Salmon run shallow in the bays of Lake Sakakawea as well as the Honey Hole area of the Tailrace below Garrison Dam.

This small pack is a collection of flys that I have personally had success with over the years.

Our window to chase these beautiful fish is short and its best to be prepared.

I fish these on anything from 7wt rods to 10 wts, but I prefer my 9 wt.

I use sinking and sink tip lines such as Scientific Angers Sonar Titan Sink tip type 3, Or SA Full Intermediate has also worked well. 

I will sometimes put an egg pattern about 10" ahead of the streamer and that seems to trigger strikes when not as aggressive.

The Pack includes a various mix of Boss patterns, attractor patterns and eggs.
